MEMOIRS OF A DRIFTING ISLE

The development of a realistic, structurally informed design inspired by relatable fiction

A narrative informing a design does not have to stem from a work of fiction or legend, it can be anything that provides setting or context to the resulting work. Narrative design was used here in a redesign of the Wellington Library; inspired by a fictional children's book. Rhino was used to model the initial abstract forms, building iterations and structural elements, and Revit to model the floor plans.
